About

We Match Weldment Enquiries. We Do Not Weld Anything.

Most sites in this industry are a shop describing itself. This one is not a shop, so the useful thing we can do instead is explain the model completely, including the part most intermediaries leave out.

In one paragraph

You send one weldment drawing. We read it, work out what the part actually needs, and pass it to at most 3 fabrication shops that weld, stress relieve and machine parts like it in their own building. They quote you directly. You order from whichever one you want. They pay us for the introduction. You pay us nothing and we take nothing from the order.

How we are paid, in full

This is the section most matching services do not write. Read it and decide whether the incentives sit somewhere you are comfortable with.

  • Buyers pay nothing at any pointNot for the enquiry, not for the match, not for the quotes and not on the order. There is no buyer side fee anywhere in the model.
  • Shops pay per matched enquiryA shop sees a preview first with the part type, material, size, weight, quantity, weld quality level, inspection scope and region, but no buyer identity and no files. It decides whether to pay for that enquiry. The price sits on the preview before the decision.
  • No commission on the orderWhat you and the shop agree is entirely yours. We do not take a percentage, we do not see the purchase order and we do not handle the money.
  • No markup on quotesThe shop quotes you directly. We never sit between you and the number, so there is nothing for us to add to it.
  • No exclusivity either wayShops keep their own customers. Buyers keep their own suppliers. Nobody is locked to us by the introduction.
  • Fit is decided before moneyA shop is only shown an enquiry its machines, its crane and its materials can actually take. Paying more does not put a shop in front of a part it cannot make, because that would waste the buyer's week and end the model.

What we are not

Written plainly so you do not have to work it out from what is missing.

Not a fabrication shop

No welding bay, no machines, no stress relief oven, no welders. We hold no welding certification of any kind and we certify nobody.

Not a contract manufacturer

We do not take your order, subcontract it and invoice you. The contract is between you and the shop you pick.

Not a directory

A directory shows you a list and leaves. We read the part first and pass it only to shops that fit it, at most 3.

Not a mass RFQ blaster

Your drawing does not go to forty shops. Shops that cannot take the part never see your files at all.

Not your supplier auditor

We record what a shop says it holds and tell you. Verifying a certificate and auditing a supplier stay with you, because it is your risk and your quality system.

Not an instant quote platform

A weldment cannot be priced by an algorithm from a model. Weld length, quality level, stress relief and setups all need a human to look at the drawing.

Why we publish so much

A new intermediary has no track record to point at. We are not going to invent one. What we can do instead is be demonstrably useful before you ever contact us.

The reference library and the tools are free, they carry no email gate and they work whether or not you ever send us an enquiry. If they are good, that tells you something about whether we understand the part. If they are not, you have lost nothing.

Everything on this site is written against a published editorial standard, including where our numbers come from and how we correct mistakes.

Questions about the model

Are you a fabrication shop?

No. We own no welding bay, no machine tools and no oven. We read weldment enquiries and connect them with fabrication shops that own all three. Every page on this site says so.

How do you make money?

Shops pay us for matched enquiries. Buyers pay nothing, ever. We take no commission on the order, we do not mark up a shop quote and no money for the job passes through us.

Does the money change which shop I get matched with?

A shop has to fit the part before price is ever discussed, on envelope, weight, material and whether it machines in house. A shop that cannot make your part is not shown it, and no payment changes that.

Who writes the guides on this site?

They are written and maintained by us as an organisation, against a published editorial standard. We do not put a fake engineer byline on them. Where a figure comes from a standard or from published practice we name it and label it as typical.

How new is this site?

New, in 2026. We say so rather than implying a history we do not have. What we offer instead of a track record is a published method, a reference library you can check against the standards yourself, and a model with nothing hidden in it.

Either side can start here

Buyers send a drawing. Shops register what they can take. We reply within 24 business hours either way, including to say we are not the right fit.
