What to send with it
A STEP file plus a PDF drawing with weld symbols, the material grade, the weld quality level or the code the welds are judged against, any non-destructive testing and at what rate, which faces and bores are machined and to what tolerance, the finish and the quantity.
If the part was quoted before and came back too expensive, say what the last quote was tight on. It is usually the inspection scope or one tolerance, and that is faster to fix than the whole design.
